Overview

Casale San Silvestro is an exceptional villa, constructed for those with discriminating taste wishing to experience the tradition of Umbria while enjoying the luxuries of a leading private property – all the modern conveniences in a peaceful countryside setting. Its hilltop location offers panoramic views of the rolling hills and valleys of the surrounding countryside and to the south-west, the medieval hill town of Todi.

Construction of the original property dates back to the 15th century housing the Church of San Silvestro; when the church was abandoned, the building was expanded into a casale (country house). The original church walls and arches remain intact forming the ground floor living and dining areas.

Today, the property includes a private chapel and, due to the historic significance of the property, on December 26, the holiday of San Silvestro, the quaint chapel hosts a special mass, attended by many local residents.

Casale San Silvestro is a beautifully restored villa. Each of the large rooms has a unique character, from the 16th century master bathroom sink, the 18th century bedroom doors to the 19th century grand mantel on the main floor – the attention to detail makes this property truly special.

The exquisitely designed and welcoming interior is complemented by the beautiful grounds and exterior lighting. After sunset the majestic lighting, accentuating the cypress and olive trees, can be seen throughout the valley.

Exterior
The pool house and summer kitchen are separate from the main house. The poolside areas are equipped with a sound system for listening to your favourite music CDs or enjoying the Italian radio stations.

Second Floor:

• Bedrooms 6 and 7: are ideal for parents travelling with young children as the adjoining hall creates a secluded suite offering the parents privacy as well as direct access to the children’s room
• Bedroom 6: is accessed from the private hall or the main hall via the dressing room. Twin iron canopy beds with large separate dressing room with day bed. Private en-suite with combined bathtub/shower, toilet, bidet, pedestal sink and antique washstand
• Bedroom 7: has been designed for young children and is accessed from the lounge/media room or the private hall adjoining Bedroom 6. Very large room with 3 single beds – the décor and accessories are intended for children, however, the beds are standard size and also comfortable for adults. The large private en-suite has bathtub with separate shower, three pedestal sinks, toilet and bidet

Payment Conditions
Deposit: 30% upon booking, full balance 60 days before arrival;
Security deposit: €1,500 payable upon arrival in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you prior to your departure minus any extra charges or accidental damages to the property.

Changeover day
Saturdays – arrival from 16:00 and departure at the latest 10:00.
